Sternotomy Wire

Sternotomy wires are stainless Steel wires that the surgeon uses to hold and sew the two halves of the Sternum together after open Heart Surgery. The material used in the construction of these wires is such that if there is no infection, chronic discomfort or pain, it can remain in the surgical site and does not interfere with the patient's normal life after surgery.
